Plant.One Well-known member Apr 15, 2016 #4 assuming you're referring to .223 - you're just fine. the recommended trim length of 1.750 is still above the SAAMI minimum trim length. the SAAMI spec for max cartridge for the caliber is 1.760 (-0.020) - which means the minimum spec for the brass length is 1.740. http://www.saami.org/pubresources/cc_drawings/Rifle/222%20Remington.pdf as such, all 1.744 will give you like lhitchcox said, is more time before you need to trim again.
