Has anyone had the opportunity to use one of these in person?

I’m gonna be in the market for a thermal, and this will be my first purchase of one, and I know Leica makes excellent products, but being there first thermal, I wanted to ask

If there is something better out there, please lmk cause I have no knowledge of thermals whatsoever

Will be used for coyote hunting

I haven't. The only two places I could even find it listed in the US is Optics Planets and BHPhoto. Some people like clip-ons, I don't, so for me that kind of puts a stop on it right away. I couldn't find anything on the warranty or who makes the sensor. Leica is a good brand, but making quality glass and creating thermal rifle scopes aren't co-dependent on each other. Hopefully, it will prove to be a quality thermal, but kind of a risky move to buy their first ever thermal. I would be curious how service will be handled as well. If you are really serious, you may want to call the Leica US Service dept and talk to them before laying down $4K on a new thermal.

I sent you my cell number as a message as I will need to know some information before I make some recommendations. It is much easier to discuss on a call.
