As for the first video... honestly i was thinking this idiot can't shoot & this other idiot it gonna shoot him. One hunting trip I'm glad I wasn't on. I'd been the one in the tree but I'd fall out laughin.

Anybody ever see the video of the leopard that was bayed in a small cave and a fella with a pistol pokes his head in and the leopard latches onto his shoulder, now that was something! Maybe one of you computer wizards could look that up and post it!
 
Rubenator-I've only seen that video once and it was on TV.I thought this might have been it when I first read "Leapord Attack".I agree with you though that was a cool video but I cant find it anywhere. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif
 
In the leopard video when they pointed out the shot from the night before, it looked like a good shot. I think the 00 buck in a pump shotgun would be my choice over a double big bore when going after a wounded animal like that.

Can't Shoot? That was intense and they managed to hit it not once but 3 times total. The cat was shot 3 time before it went down. and after it was down it was pawing and bitting. As far as chasing it, you have to followup the shot. As someone else mentioned it was a decent shot just barely missed the mark.

In the full length video, that cat comes at them from about 50-60 yards away. Notice how the cat did not show up until the last 5 yards? Even watching the video in slow motion you barely can see the cat at all.

As far as the last shot? It might have been close, but I think a bullet wound to the leg was better than getting mauled to death.

The full length video actually showed the bite marks, the wrist being tore up etc. The bite marks alone were a good 8 inches from top Canine to bottom canines right sqauare in the mans chest and abdomen.

Simply put hunting dangerous game in affrica would be awesome.
 
Its really hard for me to even imagine an animal that could take that much abuse and keep on goin.
The toughest critter I've ever had the opportunity to shoot so far is a coyote.Its pretty amazing to me that anything could be that tough.Im not easy to impress either so that could have somethin to do with it I guess.
But I agree with elks.Huntin for dangerous game in Africa would be a blast I think.
