Ok everyone i have had alot of different guys ask me about a 450 Bushmaster build,
So i am wanted to see a show of hands here from everyone on here as well as any of your buddies about a 450 and if you might want one?

I will be first on the list mainly for all the hogs down here, but i am sure it will be on alot of closer range deer hunts as well..

I have been looking at them for some time now and you just cant hardly fine them in stock, and when you do you just dont have any choices in what you get either 16" or 20" with no choices in Forearm tubes,Rails,Breaks ETC.

So i wanted to ask you guys if you could get a Custom built 450 Bushmaster upper with your choice of hardware on it and barrel length for a Everyday upper price who would want one?

Nothing is wrote in stone here i just want to see how many guys might want one. Thanks for any help guys.

A friend of mine just asked me about a 50 Beowulf upper, I know he would be interested. Is brass easy to come by?

I'm not familiar with all the differences between the 450 Bushmaster and the 458 SOCOM simply because I don't need either, but for the caliber range the SOCOM seems like a viable option considering that RRA has lots of options to choose from.

I would be in for one, weird thing is i already got ammo for one laying around...................X

Count me in + 1
The 450 is loaded by Remington and Hornady and is SAAMI approved. I am not sure but I don't think the 458 is.

204 AR, brass for the .50 Beowulf is quite hard to come by, and pretty expensive. I have enjoyed running a few rounds through it but haven't had much time to shoot it, or hunt with it yet. But a March hog hunt is on the books.

I would be interested in the 458.

I would have taken one about a month ago, but I already bought one sorry. The only advantage the 458 has over the 450 is the diameter of the bullet. Using the 458 diameter bullet alot more weight options, but the difference in fps between the two and the fact that 2 well known bullet manufactures have factory rounds is the last factor.

Yep just got a paper in today from Natchez SS and they have the Hornady 450 for $26 a box Rem were cheaper cant beat that with a stick...

Oops, just realized my last post was pretty vague. The 50 is very tough to get brass for, afaik. But you say the 450 is common? That's good to know. What diameter is the 450? .451"? So it uses pistol bullets?
Tell me more about these calibers, if you would. Just have to admit I know nothing of these big bores.

One of the main differences is $60 a box for the 458 and $26 a box for the 450 on factory ammo

1 box 458 =$60

2 boxs 450 = $52 and $8 left for gas or a 6 pack of cold drinks. lol
