let's see some camo dipping

have not done the dip yet.....i do it the elcheapo rattle can way...

That is a beautiful paint job. Almost looks professional. Here's a couple of the ones I've done, just the cheapo spray-can way.

This first one was my issued rifle when I was still in the Army and was the first AR I ever painted. This paint job was actually done in Iraq so I didn't have the best equipment to work with, but I think it turned out pretty good.

And this last one is my personal AR. I think it came out a bit better. I wish I had better pictures of it up close - I used actual leaves for the camo instead of just grass/pine needles and it looks really good up close. This was just a cell phone picture. I'm going to try and do a better job on my new 22-250.

The snow camo was done by Black Ice Coatings. I honestly don't remember what just the camo cost was. I had the other parts tefloned and I had a couple of other jobs done at the same time. Every job is different depending on what you want done. I've been doing business with Lee for years, he's the best. Call him and he can give you details and prices.

It was done by a "local" company, Extreme Hydrographics, in Quitman LA, about 30 miles from here....

Did you dip it yourself of is that some other type of camo job? I really like it.
 
I love that snow camo, but the only reason I might be hesitant to get my rifle snow camo'd is because it'd stick out like a sore thumb the rest of the year. So unless I only used that particular rifle during the winter, I couldn't justify it. Guess I'll just have to buy another rifle and make it my winter gun.
