Jack

Very true and often times I make that distinction known. However, the term "build" is used in many things that don't apply ie. "I built my house[stick built]" but it's nothing more than assembly.

That's just Jack being Jack.
I think he lived to close to the "Beltway" for to many years, and a lot of the elitist snobbery rubbed off on him.

I will have to correct you on the "building" of a house though.

A house is "built" by cutting and fitting different parts and pieces to a set of plans and specifications. Not assembled, unless it's one of the Lincoln Logs houses I built as a kid.

Sorry,,,, Just the ramblings of an old carpenter.

I knew where Mr. Roberts was coming from (or getting at)and I didn't think it was directed at me per-say.

For the most part I've cut, fit and modified parts on the rifles as well prior to assembly.

I didn't open the door to the garage with a 25 string after I built it, the same couldn't be said for the trigger of my first rifle "build"..

About 2 pounds with the rings, but it'll be worth it!
That's a nice rifle.

I'll add mine. Built by Predator Custom Shop, it's a custom chambered .257 Wby Mag. Remington 700 action, Accuracy International chassis system stock, 32" Broughton barrel with muzzle brake, 1 in 9 twist. Everything trued and bedded. Oversized bolt knob, Harris bipod, Leupold Mark 4 8.5x24x50mm scope and don't remember the mount info. Coated with Ceracote with just a splatter finish that works real nice. Guess that's it.

Flat Land Coaxer, I'm shooting Hornady 117SST's with 64gr of RL-22 but not sure of the speed, need to borrow a buddies chrono but haven't got to it. Reloaded at his place getting started and learning, just now got what I need to be doing it on my own. Now I can work on having more than just a few hunting rounds laying around. It's a laser beam for sure, Love it! Thanks for the compliment too.

This one made the mistake of giving me a shot from my deerstand at about 250 yards. I've got a deer pic I can't post because of it's graphic nature, but all I can say is this is an awesome rifle.
