Nice! I got a Savage 10FP in .308 w/ a Mueller 4x16x50mm Illuminated MilDot reticle. Factory stock (pillar bedded), Blakhawk adjustable cheek riser/pad, Harris bipods, and a 20 MOA EGW scope base/rail. I'm liking the look of your stock and want one...just afraid that it may throw off the rifle's accuracy. How well does yours shoot after you put it on the Choate stock!? I would imagine that it is better or the same, I'm just wanting to know from somwone who has almost the same rifle as I do...we got the same except for the caliber...
My other rifle is my Rock River Arms M4...post ban version, before the GOVT lifted the ban. Got some upgrades to make on it still...
Tough to answer. I have never had anything but this stock on it. How much does your rifle weigh right now? If weight concerns you at all, this set up for me weighs about 15 pounds. Doesn't bother me, I am 6'3" 320, so an extra 4 pounds over the weight of a regular rile isn't a big deal...lol. It shoots like a dream. I can make one large hole with 5 shots at 100 yards with 69gr BTHP's. The accessory rail is wonderful for switching from a low bipod to a 25 inch bipod. Takes all of 5 seconds, seriously. Just slide on off and the other back on. As far as accuracy over a factory stock, I can't imagine why it wouldn't improve it. Make sure you get the Ultimate Varmint stock, not the Ultimate Sniper, which weighs 3 pounds more, and doesn't get too many good reviews. All in all, I love this stock, both for bench shooting and for coyote hunting. If you can get a good deal on it, buy it. If you don't like it, you can sell it.
Nice RR by the way.
