Leupold Alumina Screw-In Lens Caps on a Nikon Monarch 50mm?

Does anyone know if the Leupold Alumina Screw-In Lens Caps will fit on a Nikon Monarch? I mounted my Nikon Monarch 4-16x50mm very low to my rifle and the original Monarch scope caps do not fit under the scope. I tried some Butler Creek scope caps but they are just a little too thick also. I'm nervous about putting any pressure on my scope bell from underneath. I looked at just buying a scope bikini or cloth cover but none of them are long enough for that scope. I saw these on OpticsPlanet and they are only $9.99 for a 50mm. Just seeing if anyone has any experience with this or has any other ideas. Thanks!

dont think it will work. maybe get a sunshade and then put the butler creek on as that should gain you some clearance as you move down the barrel.

I should also add that most of the scopes that I hunt with I no longer use scope covers when hunting...just one more mistake waiting to happen.

Thanks Bushy. I might do that with the shade. I don't like scope caps, especially while hunting either. I want to protect the glass in transit somehow.
