I am looking at the Leupold #66410 scope and seen they had a fine duplex reticle(#66415). Anyone that has used both or either and might have some pros cons for each I would appreciate it thanks!

I have the VX-R 1-4X30mm Pig Plex Red Dot and it is an awesome piece of glass.

I would get the Fire Dot, the CR2032 battery lasts for over a year on. When you set the rifle down, it automatically turns off after 5 minutes of no movement, then instantly turns back on whenever the rifle is moved. I basically leave it on all the time and replace the battery once a year.

The Red Dot really stands out at dawn and dusk and when I am night hunting with an RED or GREEN LED shooting light.

It is an extremely nice optic, you will absolutely love it!

That is a Burris Fast Fire Red Dot on top for CQB when something jumps up right in front of me....

The fine will be hard to see in brush and at dawn/dusk but will work for range work.

Duplex will be the best for hunting and range work.

SkyPup is right about the VX-R's. I had a Leupold Rimfire with the Fine Duplex. Awesome scope but it was super fine and hard to see. I have good eyes but it was a challenge for me anyway. Heckuva nice scope though, it was awesome for rimfire target shooting. You could shoot flies off the paper with it.

This is what I was afraid of I think I will stay with the regular Duplex reticle.
