Leupold Mark 4

Just be careful, I believe that there are some chinese copies out there. I guess they don't have the Lupy name on the front ring????

Yep I have 4 of them but only 2 of them are in the magnification the other 2 are high magnification. Great scope I have been using Leupolds for many years. You have no worries using that scope. I have been changing scopes on all my rifles to Nightforce but compared to the price and what you will use it for you will love them.

Good luck and enjoy.

TMR (Tactical Milling Reticle) is their latest milliradian reticle that has line stadia instead of mil-dots. It has .5 mil line stadia along both the horizontal and vertical axes, but the last mil gap on all 4 "ends" is divided into .2 mil line stadia. It provides for .02 mil rangefinding accuracy, instead of the std. mil-dot's accuracy of .1 mil. I love this reticle. I use it for rangefinding as well as very accurate windage reference while using my turret for elevation changes.

The ART reticle is a better ballistic reticle though, IMO (though not quite as good for rangefinding), and it can be installed in some Leupold models--

So, .5 mil= 1.719 moa according to ART info. that would be fairly easy to convert to moa then. I have NF scopes and love the R2 reticle and the new R1. MOA instead of mils.

Just what I am used to. I don't want to put a 32 oz scope on my elk gun for here in Wyoming. That is why I was looking at the Mark 4....

thanks guys !!

Must be nice--don't have any of those high $$ scopes. One of these days maybe. I love the tree-style reticles for long-range shooting with ballistic reticles myself. especially these guys--

I especially like the windage system divided into 1/4ths of the total subtension. It's a really accurate system of windage reference...when the wind cooperates, that is.
