Leupold MK AR Mod 1

I own all three of the AR Leupold scopes. The 4x12 is very nice. Send your info on the 308win to Leupold and they will make you a new top knob. Mine are all mil-dot. I had them make one for my 6.8mm.

I just run accross a MK4 M3 6X Mil Dot. They only made that scope for a short time. I;m going to call Leupold monday and check the serial#. The only thing i don't like is the 1MOA elevation.

Are the mil dots round or football shaped?

It is not counterfit.

I just put the 3-9x40 TMR-GDOT on my new calling gun and love it. The dot is bright enough to see when its sunny out and can dim back or turn off. The exposed turrets and matching mil/mil turrets/reticle is a great upgrade. This scope is heads above the first version.

If they are football, then the reticle was replaced by a company named "Premier Reticles", maybe 10 to 15-ish years ago.

I've got a Premier conversion in a VX3 3.5-10 LR on my Mod. 70 HBV. I might have to jump on this one. Originally i missed a Kahles ZF 95 then this Leupold come along.

Talked to Leupold. It's genuine. It's not a Premier Conversion. They made a vary limited run of those in 6x with the football mil dot reticle. This scope has the 308 M3 turrets. I'm going to take it.If for nothing more than nostalgia. The tech i talked to wants me to send it in so he can have a look at it.

The football reticle is made from droplets of "Goop" on wire, and was made by Premier Reticles. They installed them and also sole them to Leupold.

The Leupold mil dots are round and on glass plates.

I've been looking at them myself, however, I just can't bring myself to the large expose turret knobs. I'm quite happy with having caps on my adjustment knobs that I don't need to dinker with or worry about them getting spun off zero and not spun back. I like the change to the green dot in the Mk1 version, but I'd rather have the capped adjustments. I'll probably wind up going with the VX-R or just find something else similar in another brand. I've become more of a fan of lower power scopes for calling (most of mine come in close and fast) and the illuminated reticle has appeal for night calling.

I have two of the 3x9 MK AR Mod 1 scopes, both with the FireDot TMR reticle.

The FDE build I did, pictured below, saw good use back in Feb while at MagPul's SPR/SDM class where we shot quite a bit out to 600 yards. Scope performed w/o issue... repeat zero with lots of dial use over three days.

For a 1" tube, I'm quite happy...
