I am looking to get a scope for my .270 WSM. I looking at the Leupold VX-I 3-9x50, the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x50 and the Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x50. I've heard the the Leupold warranty is hard to beat and the Burris warranty is good, I've also heard that the Nikon warranty isn't that great. Overall what do you guys think would be the best choice?

I LIKE my Buckmaster scopes and no warranty experience on your three(3) brands. It would come down to $$$ for me which means the Nikon Buckmaster but then only own one(1) Leupold and no Burris so NOT a real discriminating owner but am satisfied with my two(2) Nikon BM.

I personally don't care for 50mm scopes because they sit to high, but that's a personal preference. Having said that, don't overlook the Bushnell 3200 Elite's. IMHO, they offer the best bang for the buck for a good quality scope right now....

+1

There may be better scopes out there, but there are no better scopes for the money. This is one fine piece of glass. Try to look through one (outside! not inside the store!) before you make your decision. You will see what we are talking about!

I have been a long time Leupold fan, but I recently bought a Nikon and love it. Check out the Monarch series.
Very clear field of view.

I have to send one of my Loopy's back. I e-maild, they said, "Sure! Send it back, we'll fix it up and get it back to you!" It internally fogged. On my primary big game rifle... after 23 years of hard hunting all over the west!!! Love my Leupolds!

All the brands you mentioned are great, and for different reasons. Just depends how much money you want to spend. Nikon makes excellent budget scopes.
