I was thinking about leupold prw scope rings and bases for my rem. Has anybody uesed them or what are your thoughts. I'm mounting a leupy 6.5 x 20 x 40 LR on my rem vssf II 22-250.
great rings (made by warne). They have a thick recoil lug and will work well with picatinny rails. They have been great for us so far,..very strong, very straight, and have aesthetic appeal moreso than standard rings.
I use a bunch of both the PRW and QRW rings. I think the design and construction of the ring is great. The way the ring is designed, it eliminates ring-marks on your scope.
I have the Leupold PRW and a set of Warne.I like both! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif But if I buy some more I'll buy the Warne as they tend to be cheaper and they make the Leupold ones anyway like was said.
I think the Leupold PRW/QRW rings are great. I have a couple sets of Warnes too and they are rock solid also. That being said, I prefer the PRW/QRW's over the vertically split Warnes. Just easier to work with IMHO. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
