Leupold VX-2

Anybody got any complaints with them? Thinking about picking one up in a 3-9x40 to go on my 222. I have a VX-3 and a VX-3i and a UltimateSlam and I like them all, just wanted to see where the VX-2 stacks up since it's more in the budget for this rifle after selling some previously mounted scopes.

I do not think there is another scope that has better sun up to sun down performance in the price range of the current VX-2. I also enjoy how there is little tunneling with these scopes (very feint black circle visible when looking through the scope) Great mechanics for light adjustability (M1 or CDS, etc however not a turret twister scope) Clean fit and finish. American assembled and backed by a great service center (Not just box swappers like others)

They are an excellent value, to me anyways.

I'm sure some people think it's overkill. I have the VX2 6-18 with the LR duplex on my old 722 222.

Not real interested in something less. The glass is great- clear. Very pleased

I have 2 VX2s and another should be here today. Good value in my opinion and it seems like you can find really good deals on the VX2 line if you're patient.

I have VX2 on a couple heavy recoiling Marlin lever guns, 45-70 & 444. They have held up great and I like the glass. Very good scope for the money

I am an elite optics snob, with Nightforce, S&B, Swarovski, and Zeiss Victory scopes. Both of my coyote calling rigs wear Leupold Mark 1 AR scopes which are in reality nothing more than a VX-2 with a different knob on the turret. IMHO, the VX2 is the best buy for the money across the board.

Broke down and ordered one, VX2 3-9x40, German 4 reticle. Found one NIB for 260$ which only 10$ over my budget after selling the previously mounted vortex.

I have (2) 4x12''s and one 3x9 in vx-2. reall quality scope. I however have been looking at the vortex just wander what you didn't like?

The vortex I had on the 222 was a 6x on the low end and for me that's too high. It was also an adjustable objective and I prefer side focus when an optic features parallax adjustments. And I went away from a BDC reticle for this rifle.
