here in michigan - the law is based of a minimum bullet diameter (.35 caliber or larger) and a min/max case length (1.160-1.800") - so the 45-70 and the 457 WWG are too long for us as well in the restricted zone anyway.
That sure is some screwed up laws. I never thought Michigan was as bad as Ohio. Here in Va. rifles for big game must be .23 cal or larger. But we do have a bunch of shotgun only counties.
