Hello Gang!

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in testing these two lights against each other? The reason I ask is per the manufactures description I see the the lightforce 170 has a CP of 530,000 where the Cyclops has 3.5 Million. Any help would be greatly apprecieated.

3.5 million candle light is 100 watts of 12 volt power. I use the cyclops I like them they have served me well. Not had one break yet. Its nice because they only cost like $20-$25 So you can have a couple for back up... I have a dimmer on mine so I can turn it up high or turn it down depending on the distance you want to throw. I have some friends that dont use the dimmer and they do well.

I am sure lightforce 170 is nice I just have never used them.

Either way go to boondocks outdoors and get a silent halo shield. It will help tremendously reduce lighting you, your gun and everything else.

Thanks Duke I just ordered a sleeve for my cyclops the other day cant wait to get it. I just see alot of people use the lightforce and wanted to see if it was better and worth the extra money. Oh yeah what kind/how did you hook up the dimmer?

nothing wrong with the cyclops, it puts out a pretty good halo as does the lightforce. In performance i would say lightforce but price cyclops. I have both and will use the lightforce over the cyclops just because of 530,000 cp instead of 3.5 million, and adjustable beam. If ya hook a dimmer up though you can lower it, but some dimmers plus spotlight will add up close to the price of a lightforce.
