Lightforce vs. Optronics Nightblaster Max 350

I started with a Nightblaster 350. Used it afew times and thought that it should have more range. I heard good things about the LightrForce 170 and ordered one from Tufflight. Rick sent it right out and had it in a few days. Liked the scope mount so much that I just got a 170 handheld for my son (or partner) when yote hunting. The Optronics is just collecting dust now. The range on the LightForce is twice that of the NB 350. My vote is for the 170 LightForce.

What and why do you use the ultrastinger flashlight for.

Thanks

We are limited to handheld lights and shotguns. When hunting alone there's no way you can hold a lightforce and shoot a shotgun at the same time. I can hold the Ultrastinger, cradle my shotgun and shoot at the same time.

I was going to make up one of those light holds that I can grab with my hand and hold it on the forearm of my gun.

Please tell me how wrong I am. Not being sarcastic at all I am as green as can be for night hunting. I want coons and coyote's.

So do you spot them with the nightforce turn it off then switch on the stinger light and shin them with that?

I am dying to get into this as I have many great spots to hunt by the metro area. I am just sooooooooooo stupid at this night hunting game I have never played.

Thanks for your patients and advice. Like a web seminar.

Nope, I plan to use the lightforce when I hunt with a partner. in that case one of us will be the shooter and one will run the light. The Ultra Stinger will be for when I hunt alone.

Speaking of web seminars.... You going to make it on the 16th?

I am wanting to get a scopelight to do some night hunting as well. I'm not going to be using it too much and the area I hunt is in Indiana, so I'll be hunting the woods or small fields. Would the Optronics be good enough for that? What all does the Lightforce 140 for $100 dollars come with? Does that have the battery included? Switch? Filter lense?

I know this might be a stupid question, but how do you hook this up to your rifle? With the switch and battery?

Randy! You have become a "LightForce Hunter"!! YES! Is it legal to mount the spotlight on your shotgun in MN, Randy? I know you said "handheld" but I wasn't sure. I'm glad to hear you have the LightForce - looking forward to your next visit even MORE than I was before I read this post! That means TWO of the best lights going at the same time! Don't mean to hijack this thread, fellas, but Randy knows how much I love my LightForce /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Not sure of the legality of mounting a light to the gun. Technically, no.

And, yes, if ever a love affair was born, it was between songdogslayer and lightforce. If like mine half as much as he likes his I'd say I'm going to be very happy.

See my post on my Lightforce/light setup setup in the "Other calling equipment" forum. Might be back a ways. If you can't use a gun mounted light this will work with a shotgun as well.....on Page 2 of that forum now.....
