Lights for hunting at night.

I have been doing some reading and searching on the forum. But i haven't seen a lot of solid answers. I don't have the money and can't justify night vision at this time. So i am looking at flash light options. I currently have a Kill Light XLR 250. But i was looking at other options and using this for a scanning light possibly. I know there is a lot of knock offs and stuff on ebay also but has anyone had good luck with any of them? Like the xm 800 torch or etc.

I ran across this setup but wanted some feedback. I don't have 400+ dollars to drop on a coyote light either.

Josh,
At this time on the current market the SHL 66LR setup is King, with that being said the new Wicked 402 light should be here in a few weeks and I hear they may edge out the SHL slightly.

I am a sponsor of this site and a dealer for both the SHL and the Wicked lights. Feel free to check out my webstore www.shop.boondock-outdoors.com

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Only reason is because I moved up to thermal and night vision. It was just sitting on the shelf so I figured might as well let someone else get use out of it. It works great and was an awesome set up. I had a couple of them, still keeping one headlamp and one light with the 30LR head to use as a flashlight.

^^ I actually bought all my light stuff from Jeremiah at Boondock...exemplary customer service, prices and shipping!

i got the night eyes set up not to long ago and i love it. i am a solo hunter and that was the best setup for me and my situation. i just leave the headlight on and look around and if i see eyes and want to shoot then i hit the second light that's mounted on my gun for shooting because when i go to aim my headlight is not pointed where i am aiming. that is the purpose of the 2 light setup for me. i couldn't be more happy with it. its the only lights i have tried though so i cant say on anything else.

I use a xlr 100 with high and low to scan with. I run a white bulb in my xlr 250 now on the rifle and can see to shoot a few hundred yards easily!
I have never dealt with joe at night eyes but heard good things. I have bought a dozen or so things from Jeremiah at boondocks and he is a top notch guy!
