Lip Squeak or Mouse Squeak?

Mouse squeak, just sucks mine fell off my shotgun this winter. Had to go to lip squeaks. Now the only problem is do I get another primos one or look around for a diff one that has a flat side like the primos and see how that works. That primos one finished off alot of coyotes.

Frozenbutt, check around the Cabela's website.. I think that's where I found mine It's flat sided and I stick it on with a small piece of Velcro on the forearm...It was either Cabela's or Blaine's Farm & Fleet stores (I've gotten a lot of my accessories there at about half of what some of the specialty stores ask)

Around 6-7yrs ago. I had a mouse squeaker. Squeaker bulb broke so I put the voice in a little piece of dowel rod that I hollowed out. Stuck that little do-hickey into a 3" piece of 1/2" PVC pipe.

Some time later on...Seen a bedded coyote around 300yrds off of a gravel road. It was snowing pretty heavy. I was camo'd in all white. I parked 1/2 mile away & walked down the gravel & stopped parrallel to the coyote. At which time it was sitting up facing me.

Coyote commenced to bark twice then let out a short howl. I did the same on that little squeaker call. Barked twice & howled. Communication carried on for a few minutes back & forth. Gave me a good laugh[time well spent]

So my answer is; Lip-squeaks are good for calling domestic cats. My Grandma was a carney, she should know.

Thanks, To get one from a store I have to drive almost 2 hours to get the things I am looking for. I will have to check cabelas online store.

I think it's a case of what you use. Lipsqueaks are highly effective for me, but that's probably because it's what I use for coaxing. Never mess with a mouse squeak call or whatever.

By the way Jay, I got the two Power Play calls you sent, as part of the giveaway contest. I took the lipsqueak one out that very night and had it in my front shirt pocket. We called a mess of coyotes in that night. It was very calm out. On one stand, there was one within 600 yards or so, when I started shining for eyes. I decided to give the Power Play a try, as my only call. Called that sucker right in. Worked like a champ and I may start using them as stand starters.

i use lip squeak's. like using a squeaker in a turned call also. i sell the squeaker's just need to keep one in the truck. lips squeakes for sure. they stop they alway's do. Rick

I like having a mouse squeaker taped to the float tube of my AR so I can run it with my left thumb.

Mostly so I can hold my breath when I'm squeezing.

allpredator calls has them in their coaxer section or you can find them at RhinoCalls.com

I'm trying to narrow the sound down to the most preferred.

Vole Squeaks is a great sound that really works for coaxing in coyotes or for stopping coyotes that are not in a hurry.

I have Vole Squeaks at volume 20 as one of my preset sounds on my FOXPRO and it works much better than me trying to lip squeak at them.

Not to mention never killing any fox with one. In close quarters with the shotty I will acctully start out with the mouse squeaker. You be surprised how close you can get to sleeping coyotes if you quiet going in and boy be ready because they will be on your lap in seconds. Got the coyote urine stain on the whites to prove it.
