Trying to eliminate oppression amongst kids is only going to eliminate kids learning that the FACT of life is they will suffer one form of oppression or another, then what will they do? Resort to unreasonable tactics when things boil over.
There's proof of it with the lack of any controled violence amongst kids and an over abundance of uncontrolled violence amongst adaults now-a-days.
Actually there are points that may be true in different smaller towns, cities, bigger cities, etc. I had a girlfriend who was a substitute teacher in Sacramento when it was going through huge gang turmoil. Substitute teachers were not expected to do anything except keep a certain peace and survive. I couldn't believe it, never had I ever heard of kids as rough as high school kids.
My school was comprised of small town mentality and the rougher delinquent types went to continuation school. What is sensible in the hard environment doesn't make any sense in the smaller communities
