Load data for 6WOA

I have my new 6woa up and running. It has a 22" shilen barrel 1:10 twist. I have a couple loads started with 70 grain noslers and benchmark powder. I am looking for any loads you have. Mainly wanting to know what powder, the charge weight, the bullet, and the case overall length (COAL). I have searched every where and there isn't much published. Anything you have shoot me a PM. I would greatly appreciate it. Really wanting a load with the 75 gr vmax but interested in all loads. Let me know what you have

If you bought dies you should have got reloading data from John with 70gr sierra bthp and using benchmark. I have been using h322 and 75gr sierra HP with really great results. I have been running them at just under mag length out of my pri mags. PM me if you would like.

Yeah I got the load data with the dies but it doesn't have much data on anything other than 70 nosler and 87 hornady. I'm really wanting something on the 75 grain vmax bullets

Thanks for the reply. I will load some up and try them. What case overall length are you seating those at?

Just an FYI, never grab someones load and run with, back it off a touch a build up to your gun.

I'm running a 70 blitzking with XBR powder dont have my book infront of me for any details

Thanks for the warning but yes I will reduce and work up slowly. I have been reloading a long long time. And load a ton for ARs but thanks for the heads up. If you dont mind I would be interested in your XBR load data as I have a 8 lb jug of it sitting in my reloading room. PM sent

28.4 was my sweet spot, the velocities came together via my chronograph and accuracy was spot on. I went up to 28.5 but my aggregate seemed to open up a smidgen but still w/zero signs of pressure.

Im using 28gr of IMR 8208 with the 75gr vmax, chronoing right at 3000fps.

I can attest that this load shoots bugholes out of his rifle and it puts a serious smackdown on a coyote. I'm sure Scott would love to be able to tell you about it but since he can't I will!!!

2.255 OAL. Good luck. Who did your build and what are its specs?

Thanks again and I sure do appreciate the info. And thanks to everyone that has helped so far. I am writing all this down and it sure does help.

yotehunter, are you using SSA or Hornady brass? I am running 30.9 and I don't think I can stuff any more into Hornady brass. I know the SSA can take a little bit more powder but at 30.9, I am getting some pressure signs on about 50% of the brass. It seems to be even higher on the SSA brass. No signs of pressure issues at 31.5? I am shooting this out of one of Scott's builds. I am using the same powder and bullets. I have had good luck with it.

The Hornady brass was starting to show pressure at 30.5. The SSA brass was holding strong at 31.5 of 8208. Mine is a Ritch Johnson build and a serious shooter.
