Loading 722 ln 222

All good load advice.

How is the trigger, lbs., crisp? Also, a 7.5 power scope with a regular duplex (I assume) is not going to allow you to aim at a really small spot on the target.
Go to accurateshooter and print off some of their targets to use at 100 yds.
Are you shooting from a solid bench, what kind of front rest and rear bag are you using?
A lot of factors go into shooting the best possible group for each individual gun.

I beg to differ with you on a 7.5x scope being not enough to shoot small groups. Hunter Benchrest is shot with 6x max scopes and some very small groups have been fired.

These groups were shot with a very old Weaver 3x, the first group was so good I decided to shoot another group to see if it was a fluke.

The same rifle with a 4x Weaver at 300 yards

I made another trip to the range and saw a little improvement with bullets seated deeper, will go a little deeper and see if I an on to something. 7.5 has a half minute dot.

With a half minute dot use targets with a 1" square and have the dot just touching the sides in a corner at 100 yards and centered at 200

Excellent suggestion and yes you can use lower powers to shoot great groups, I just feel that a higher power scope will allow a person to aim at a smaller target and thus easier to work up a accurate load.
A .5" dot will have to be setup as AWS described to get good repeatable results.

with vertical strings, i would make sure there is no pressure on barrel, the action is not under pressure in the stock & could be improper ignition, so get different brands of primers to try. you have said nothing about your load recipe, so there is other advice that can not be given.
