Just bought a CZ Varmint yesterday and was wondering if you guys had any powder/bullet combos that I should try?? not really looking for the fastest load, would prefer accuracy.
Thanks in advance

I have had a fondness for 23.5 grains of Varget with the 20 grain Vmax for the last several years. Most times I use the CCI BR cap to light it off. This load has given me "5 in a dime" clusters for both my CZ and my Rem 700. They clock around 4000 fps which is plenty good enough for me. A few summers ago I had my .17 with me in Wyoming and used it to take a few dozen prairie dogs. One memorable shot (was less than 100 yards) scattered a dog as if he had just detonated a land mine. Sheeeeeeze! It rained prairie dog for 30 seconds seems like. The same day I took another one at an even 400 yards. At this distance there certainly was no blow up, but it dropped him where he stood.

I am going back to the range today to try some IMR 8208 loads. I will try to update you with those, but they are really going to have to shoot to replace my favorite Varget recipe.

My CZ in 17 Remington loved 27 grain kindler golds with 21.5 grains of imr 4895. About 3800 fps. I forgot to add that was with Remington 7 1/2 primers.

Mine liked 24.3gn Varget behind a 23gn Kindler and Rem 7.5 primers; 24.1gn Varget behind 25gn Vmax, same primer; and 24.3gn BLC-2 behind 25gn Berger MEF, same primer. The 23gn Kindler load actually shot the best. Somewhat hot by some standards, but that is where I found the accuracy.
