Loads for my R-15 ta shoot P-dogs?

I guess I want a cheap load that is really accurate and AR safe. Most told me to use the 50Gr Spire point and don't look back . Is this a good coyote bullet also? Thanks ahead of time
 
7000 grains of powder in a pound.. Divide that by the charge weight you're going with. Check out Midway.com for the 1000 packs of 55gr soft points. Comes out to 8 cents a round for the bullet or close to that. Can find sales quite often that get it even cheaper.
 
Thanks guys, do any of you use the SXSP 50Gr Hornadies? I don't know but I think they'd be a good coyote load also?

JWG I shoot the 55sx's in my prairie dog rigs. Their performance is let's say "enlightening."

I have shot coyotes with them but believe with their thin skin they're not the best bullet available.

I use the Hornady SX bullets and they are GREAT - but in an AR, the twist is too fast, and they will fly apart before they go 20 feet.

Holy Hefferdust, they fly apart!?! Even with a 1 in 9? They must be thin skinned! Well that definitely answers the question of hunting coyote or not.
