I spend most of my time listening to those, rather than TV...The rabbit ears wrapped with tinfoil doesn't work too well anymore since they all went digital...

I remember sneaking a transistor radio to be and listening to Earl pitts,,and the doctor deminto show,,,good times and i still quote some of pitts stuff...like..."Micheal EO Jackson,,,couldnt carry luke skywalkers,,jock strap"...and the toothpick story..."WANNA KISS MY GIRL"?.

I can remember the Lone Ranger and Dragnet TV series. How about "Ironsides" and that horrible "alarming sound" that sounded like ambulance or something? Been 35 years+ and I can still hear it.........................
 
fw707, I can remember lying in bed at night, listening to the little crystal radio I made with an earphone, the wire antenna strung out the windos, and picking up the stations out of LA and TX after midnight, as that was the only time the other local ones shut down and allowed the AM waves to get through...FM wasn't even out on a commercial basis...

What was the original topic of this thread,, I think I've forgotten...

This is a cool gun actually. The paint job looks like crap IMO and I wouldn't want a 30/338, a 30/378 would be more to my liking. If it was mine I'd have a nice Advantage Max-1 hydro imaging job done on it and it'd be a pretty sweet rifle.
