Looking at a 220 Swift Sendero

Hornady 52bthp loaded with 42g of H414.

Another for H414 powder. It seems to work the best in my Swift, and I have been loading this round for over 30 years and I have found no better powder. 43 or 44 grains of it behind the little 40 grain bullet will simply turn ground squirrels into atoms. Works pretty good on praire dogs too, but will admit have not tried shooting any past 400 yards with that little pill.

I have never tried 40 grain bullets in my swift mainly because that is what I shoot out of my 223AI. I think I will give them a try it sounds like good crow medicine.

I actually thought after the pic, MAYBE, his buddy shot it with the .17 HMR! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Then it got tangled in a Fence!

Walla! Here are the results of two, super impacts!

I actually never had a yote that had two exits that where that big, that wouldn't have been DRT, with either holes!!

I guess (never say never!) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I Have 2 swifts one of them is a 1-8 twist 40x and The other is a 1-14 twist remington 700 used for a carry gun for coyotes. I have killed several prairy dogs past 700 yards with my fast twist, and The other carry gun does this to the coyotes.

Wow! That 17 HMR did a number on that sucker!

I've seen coyotes running around with traps and snares attached to them but that's the first coyote I've seen with a Foxpro stuck to it's chest. lol!

Well ,I dragged her home this weekend /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
What a rifle. She shoot's bug holes with 55gr Berger VLD with Varget powder.
Bedded 700 action , 1 lb Rifle Basix Trigger, topped off with a Nikon Monarch 6.5-20 x 44 with target turrets.
Has a cool factory muzzle brake cut into the top of the barrel.
Let the fur fly LOL /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You did well, Gamedog. One would have to have quite the grip (not to mention a 5 ton crane) to wrestle my 700 actioned Swift from me. It too wears a brake (Vais) so that I can watch the critter go up in mist with the hits. I took numerous ground squirrels and a big fat badger with mine last Saturday. Hit the badger in the thoat at 190 yards away with a 40 grain Ballistic Tip that was leaving my barrel at around 4300 fps. Needless to say, he was dead where the bullet found him.

You going to love that Swift. I bet you already do even.
