Looking for a Ghillie Suit

Thanks for all the advise,

Rockinbbar is that all the apc suit covers?? They look alot fuller on their website, I like the desert/grassland color.. I wish I saw this one last week when I ordered my FX3 from them..

Smsnyder that rancho safari suit looks sweet, but kinda pricey for just a jacket..

I did a little trimming on mine as well.

I was hoping thats what you did...

How well do they fit over a parka?? I wear a 2xl parka when it gets cold and was wondering if it will fit over it??

Hey RockinB, any chance you could post some pictures of you in the full suit? I'd also like to see it on stand. I think there's alot of guys interested in it but the pictures in the catalog don't offer much. Hope I'm not imposing too much.
On another note, I went by a Bass Pro Shops today and just had to stop and look around. I had been wanting to check out their leafy suit called 3D revolution. This is what I found. All the suits look good. The problem is, even though they all claim to be made out of 100% polyester, they weren't even close to the same. By that I mean, the Max 1 was really stiff and extremely noisy while the AP HD was soft and quiet but didn't look quite as good. The Mossyoak Brush wasn't quite as loud and rough as the Max 1 but loud none the less. If I had to pick one, I would have picked the AP HD even though it didn't look as 3d as the rest. I don't know if washing and drying would soften these materials up or not but it was amazing how different they were when they were suposed to be identical besides color and cut.

Another +1 for Rancho Safari here... I swear I can almost stand up and move with a 'yote right in front of me and they don't care.

As for being hot, yeah, if you don't prepare for the day right. I dress in layers and as the day warms up I start peeling. I've been out in 80+ in the desert with jeans and a t-shirt under the RS and was more comfortable than just the jeans and t-shirt. It breathes well and provides a little shade to boot.

I'll be buying a junior set for the kidos' soon I hope.

Sportsmans Warehouse used to have a very light weight one that rolled up into a small pack about 6" in diameter and maybe 15" long. Price was around 100 bucks. I kept saying "I need to get me one of those", never did and now I can't find them any more. Anyone else remember seeing these? Do you recall who made them?

Duck: that sounds like a rancho safari. I got mine at sportsmans wharehouse and I love it. Mine was around 200 dollars. Savage270NM pretty much nailed it with the layers.
