Looking for a Headlamp

I was tossing around the idea of purchasing a rechargable headlamp for hunting at night. I was checking out the NiteLite Catalog/Huntsmart.com and was looking at the Hot Lite Pro or the Halogen Pro, both are 6 volt units. I was wondering if any of you gentlemen were familiar with either of these lights or could provide me with any information.
I was also looking at the Coon Hunters Favorite package that comes with theit "Head" light.

I have the Nite Lite Rechargeable Halogen Head 6 Volt Hunting Light (Item Number: NLP8S ) I love it ! Be sure to order you a few snap on red filters for it. I have several friends who have the higher priced units but mine works just as good ! It is a great product and they give great service !!

I have a Halogen Pro from Nite Lite. Best light I've ever owned I prefer that style head. With the barrel clip it works great for scoped rifles. Good burn time also.

I have the Hot Lite Pro 6volter. I believe Marlin has the coon hunters special. I have yet to use mine in the field as I have not gone out since I bought it, but marlin's had his for probably over a year now. He's not a big fan of the red cover on the older style lights. The 5100 style light like on the hot lite pro I bought is thinner. I bought mine because I hated holding the spotlight the whole time in the field.

I have the coonhunter favorite and really like it. Last all night when used on low to see eyes and turned up just to shoot. Mine came with the black ballcap, think I'm going to try the low profile cap to cut down on the top heavy feel.
I think you'll like any of them.

I just ordered the Coon Hunter Favorite 6 volt light with some spare bulbs and red cover. Just wanted to give a headlamp a try. I already have a Lightforce Walkabout I currently use for scanning.

Order up some halogen bulbs for it. They really help get the most out of the light.

check out valley creek lights , i have the 20 volt belt light and have not had any problems at all in the last 3 years with it..

i have the hot lite pro, if it is dark out it works well, i was out the other nite when it was fairly light out i could make out a dog or fox probably around 50-60 yards with the red filter on it, if it is dark it will make them out to about 100 yards with good battery life i think for the money the hot lite pro is as about as good as it gets Ron
