My friend has one and it is awesome. I would not recommend he change it, no way. BUt..... the W402zf is right with it. It does compare, directly compares. IMO.

However, as far as 2nd generation hunting lights, as far as i know, these two lights are the only compete with each other. they are almost perfect.

Thats having seen both, and talking to tech at all predator calls. Matter of fact I think I want one of each.

My subjective personal opinion is that I feel the Chinese Wicked flashlight does not come close to comparing as a gun light to the CoyoteLight Predator Hunting Light. Here is my thinking, not right or wrong, just the way I see the comparison.

The Wicked Light sits to high above the scope, is unbalanced with a huge front and skinny back, and has a loud clicky clack push button with only a medium and high adjustment. It does focus but it requires several rotations of the bezel. Coyote light rheostat is silent and you can dial in 0-100% intensity without a loud click push button. Can focus from spotlight to flood in less than one turn of the head. Costs more but these are worth it when predator hunting in the long run.

Its always amusing when a vendor selling a competitors light offers his “subjective personal opinion and comparison” regarding the competition’s light.

I’m sure the inaccuracies in his post are a result of his lack of night hunting experience and knowledge in general, and lack of knowledge of the Wicked Hunting Lights brand specifically, and not purposeful.

Let me clear up some of the inaccuracies:

1. The W402ZF is a three power mode light with High>Med>low settings

2. The height of the light above the scope is by design, after extensive research, to ensure the light/mount combo fits virtually ALL scope combinations to include scopes with 56 mm objectives, 1 inch, 30mm, and 35mm tubes, and tall target turrets while providing for a full range of both windage and elevation adjustment so the light beam is always centered in the cross hairs

3. The size of the bezel (67mm) and its zoom focusing ability provide for a wide lower intensity beam and or a smaller very high intensity beam by merely rotating the bezel to the desired beam size and intensity. The bezel rotates one rotation / 360 degrees.

4. The light balance is superb, in fact the front bezel assembly (217 grams) is lighter then the light body with 1 battery installed (232 grams). There is zero perceived affect on weapon handling or balance.

Curious that your self described light comparison didn't mention or compare light output, ability to change LED color, or fully adjustable mounts, durability, etc ..

I’ve posted a product informational video for your enjoyment

I couldn't agree more. I have voiced my biased, yes I said my biased opinion on here multiple times. However there is very few posters on here that are not biased to the products they like and use. The biggest thing to remember is you will never get an unbiased opinion by asking a question on a public forum. I will say up front I am very partial to the Night Eyes Lights, Foxpro Electronic Calls, and Deadly Dose Game Calls mouth calls, not because I have a vested interest or even make a penny off of it but because I believe in thier products. I am not saying they are always the best out there or they are the cheapest or even perfect but I have very pleasant experiences with all of them and they have always meant my needs for the places and the way I hunt. I have supported a lot of other products and sponsors on this site too. I have bought from All Predator Calls, I have left known that if you are looking for a very long distance shooting light that Coyote Light appears to be a very good product. I have also seen some sponsors on here say that "We can't meet what you are looking for but I think xxxx can." In my opinion that takes a very tall man/business to say that. If you are willing to lose a sale to make sure your customer is buying what they need you are truly putting your customers first. Just because call maker or light seller XXXXX makes and sells 20 different models, that doesn't mean it is right for you. I thinnk the best way to do business is say here is what my products can do. It is just like politics, tell me what you can do, not what your opponent cannot. I know forums and opinions on forums have become a very big part of our sport and life in general, however, I would highly recommend if you are truly looking for a product to use these as a tool, get opinions from these places but then do some independent research, use facebook, contact users of the products, don't take one person or vendor's opinion. Look around and see what people really think. And vendors, tell me what your products can do, don't tell me what the other guy can't or that you carry a million products, if bulk retailers were the only way to go, nobody would compete except Cabela's and Bass Pro.

When someone comes out with a redesigned flashlight then charges a absorbent amount of money because it's "unique" is laughable at best. The coyotelight is already outclassed by several lights that are new to the market and cost HUNDREDS less...My subjective personal opinion.

I will tell you my set-up and my partner runs the exact same. After years of trial and error we feel we have it right.

headlamp---NightEyes (bought 2 direct from nighteyes)
Gun light--Coyote light (bought one direct and one from Boondock)
Call-------Foxpro Fury and FX5 (bought one direct and one from All Predator Calls) also had a fusion and a scorpion

Over the years I've made many many more purchases from Boondocks and APC. Even B.S.ed with Jeremiah in his basement after a 2 hr drive to buy a rifle from him.

but all the bickering over lights is so old!!!!!

It would be better if the sponsors agreed to not argue unless based on scientific FACT (independent lab based testing) and let the real customers voice "opinions". All of these guys are great companies to deal with and all have done wonders for this sport.

I am of no affiliation to any predator hunting business!

I use Wicked Lights W401zf mounted on my nuisance deer rifles as kill lights and one unmounted for scanning. Bright enough to easily make shots to 400 yards even when overcast/ no moon. The remote on/ off switch is nearly silent- if the animal is close enough to hear that, they'll hear the much louder sound of your clothes as you move to line up your shot. Toggling between high, medium and low intensity is silent. Fantastic product. I bought mine from All Predator Calls. I'm not affiliated with anyone in the industry.

Some times it's fun to just sit back and watch.

If I wanted an unbiased opinion I'd probably PM the guys smiling in the pics with the dead critters and ask what they are using.

I am a little new to night hunting fox/coyotes i have been searching the internet and came across a light made by noxx. When i seen it was from pa it caught my attention because i am in pa myself. Has anybody had any experience with the red dagger or red 300? Also does anybody use green for fox? A little help would be appreciated thanks.

He doesn't want to break the bank, so I believe CoyoteLight is out (prob the best but still out). I am going to go ahead and say it, look up the Chinese knock off lights and they are hard to beat. You can get lights for $30 that work great as gun mounted lights, and some are actually the exact lights you buy here in America, just stamped with a new name. I actually bought a Coyote TLR and love it. Then I purchased a few knock off's and they come very close to the TLR.

So here is my disclaimer...I am not a sponsor, and I do not make a living off predator hunting. I simply enjoy the sport, and do not have lots of extra $ for high tech equipment

I too simply enjoy the sport and have for the past 39 years. That is how I got started selling lights. My home page better explains that. It is more of a hobby than a full time business. I work a full time job and another part-time job not including this business. I am not out to make a living off of selling lights, just to provide a great product at a fair price. I tell you this because I am a hunter first and a businessman second. You will not find our lights under any other name. I worked very closely with our manufacturer in developing and designing all our lights. Their name has always been on our packaging and lights. No secret there.
My best advice is to do your research and buy the light that fits your style of hunting and budget. Heck, if we all didn't have different needs/taste/styles we would all be driving the same brand/type vehicle.

I feel certain, if you purchase a light from anyone of the sponsers you will be happy with the product and the customer service you receive.

I use red for fox/coyote/bobcat
