looking for heavier grain than 55 choice for Colt LE6920

For coyote hunting. Been running the 55 gr Hornadays for quite some time with no real issues but have had a few spinners and those requiring multiple shots as of late so was interested in stepping up (rather than aiming better lol).
My Colt LE6920 has a 1:7 twist with a 16" barrel. Its 5.56 but I've been running .223 due to wider availability. Any recommendations? Been contemplating the Hornaday superformance match rifle ammo in 75 gr with the boat tail hollow points...
Guess I should clarify, I don't reload and I don't collect fur which probably makes me a bad person, but c'est la vie

IKR. the art of self deprecation has been finely honed over the years by myself. But I like to hunt, not range and zero.

Best .223 bullet i've found for yotes is the 60gr nosler ballistic tip varmint.

I'm not sure what you'll find for a factory varmint load containing larger than a 55gr bullet. Federal makes the vital-shock wiht a 60gr nosler partition but that's not the right bullet for your application unless you're not keeping fur.

75gr hornady will make a mess of the fur, that bullets intended for paper or humans.

If you can find the blue box Black Hills 60 grain vmax it will put them down. Also hsm used to sell some 60 vmax as well , both are good rounds.

I like the 60 nbt or 69gr tmk

Edit: just noticed that you don't reload. Creedmoor sports sells the Black Hills 69gr TMK load and Midwayusa and others sell the loaded 60gr ballistic tip ammo

I've got a Ambush Firearms AR15 with an 18" barrel with the 1:7 twist. And I like you don't reload and don't plan on skinning the coyotes for their fur. I've been target shooting with the military surplus M855 green tipped bullets which are 62 gr bullets. They seem to work pretty good in my rifle.

If you aren't reloading try the Hornady super performance loads. Even the 53 grn Vmax, you may be surprised with the results.

I just got some Russian made Brown Bear 62 grn JHP from sportmans guide. Haven't shot any yet but the reviews and price were good! Hope they work out because I bought couple thousand rounds! you might check them out.

I have been shooting the 75gr Superformance Match for 1 year now and really pleased with it out of my 16' 1/7 barrel. Tight groups, flattened a few coyotes, now just waiting for a wolf!

Black Hills 60gr VMAX or their 77 grain TMK. I would definitely use the Black Hills 77 TMK before the match bullets.

Just thought I'd update for anyone interested. Took 69 gr black hills and 75 gr hornaday to the range Friday. The colt loved the 75 gr but the 69 gr gave equal or possible less performance than I get from my 55 gr hornadays I've been using. I have some black hills 60 gr vmax coming in the mail and will give them a try but I'm thinking the 75 gr hornaday bthp's are gonna be the deal. Eager to see how they do when I get to put one into a yote.
I'm no pro shooter but you can sure feel it when you squeeze off some quality rounds. I use the sight n c targets and the very first three rounds were so tight at 100 I was at first wondering if I'd only hit once.

I have a 1:8, and spent an hour reading old posts here. The PPU 69 and 75 grain BTHP have been suggested, the 60 grain V-max have been suggested a lot. I know black hills loads them, but Freedom Munitions loads them as well. They had remans available, and have free shipping till the end of the year.

I am waiting on PSA to have the PPU in stock, and order both flavors as well as some Fusion MSR.

Take a look at Freedom Munitions reviews before purchasing. I haven't read much on their QC etc.
