Looking to get a .243 bolt action

I have to agree with gunrac. I compared the cheaper rifles as he mentioned and I liked the Marlin the best.I liked that the entry level Remington had a detachable mag, but the bolt was terribly sloppy. This rifle shoots a decent group with a 95g Nos. CT with accurate 4350 powder. burris 3x9 scope. I need to tighten the adjustable trigger back up though because I have it set to light for hunting now.

I shoot a Browing Micro Hunter in 243 and really like it. It is designed as a kid's gun and it is very light, small, a great carry gun and can hit a yote at 300 yards with out to much trouble. It has a nice trigger, is glass bedded and has a nice wood stock. Just a comment and won't say its better or worse than all the others, you just don't here as much about them.

Well said RL..
I have the same rifle and love it.
Mine shoots 85gr Sierra GK's under and inch at 100, and is a joy to carry..

I'm a recoil wimp so I added the Simms recoil pad.

I have a Rem. 700 SPS Youth in .243 and love it. With 85gr HP Gamekings it has been death on whitetails. I bought it used and don't know if the trigger was reworked but that is one sweet gun I'll never get rid of. I use it more than my kids do.
