Looking to upgrade my Foxpro for South Dakota hunts

A little back ground, I have a stock FX3, I am looking to upgrade in the very near future and am not sure which way to go. I like the quality of the Foxpro but I don't like the fact of not having the sound names display on the remote and the limited number of sounds the FX3 will hold.

I live in SD and hunt wide open spaces I am wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the effective sound range of some of the different Foxpro calls? My FX3 seems to get the job done but I wonder how may coyotes I am missing by not being quite load enough? I am considering the KRAKATOA 2 but am not sure it is worth the money, so maybe the CS24C or the Hellfire, I just don't know which way to go!!!!!

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and advice!!

I would look in to the shock wave with the moveable speakers, you can foucs your sound in the direction you want.or if your really want volume the prairie blaster.

CS24C is a great caller & remote. Good for about anything anywhere. I just bought a new CS24C and had it custom built in 15W and it is LOUD. Not as loud as a Krakatoa but very LOUD. You can't go wrong with any of the three you mentioned.

A good friend bought a Krakatoa about two months ago. He doesn't use all that volume all the time, but if he needs it, it is there. He called in seven yesterday, shot at five, and killed 4. Any of the coyotes he called in would have heard the Shockwave or the CS-24C.

Makes a big difference, I have put them on all my remotes.

Before buying a recent caller I talked to the guys at AllPredatorcalls.com. When I was comparing the Shockwave to the CS24C, the rep said that the CS24C was about 6 db louder than the Shockwave. That's a good bump in sound for wide open spaces of places covered in sound dampening snow or heavy timber.

For me, I went with the more features vs the louder sound. Have fun making your decision on which caller that you feel will work the best for you.
