Ah looks like it would not be legal in NY. It is not preban and has a 18v mag. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif Collapsible stock , a bayonet lug and a flash hider. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I saw a email LEo warning about firearms that had been painted to look like toys. It seems that some gang bangers have started doing that to fool cops. "Oh gee officer that is my litle brothers" and like that. While a cops worst nightmare is shooting some kid with a realistic toy gun, if they are going bang the jig is up and the cop is going to be shooting back.

And they should blinddog! Sorry thing is, the LEO will take the heat.

Maybe from the media but what else is new. In a low light or even in a well lit environment where a cop shoots someone with a toy gun, especially a realistic looking one, is going to be fine from a legal or departmental standpoint. The mental aspect of it may be more difficult to overcome especially in light of the media and their sometimes irresponsible behavior. The truth of the matter is, LEO cannot wait to see whats real or whats fake in the milliseconds it takes to make a deadly force decision. Graham vs. Conner which is the Supreme Court case law that governs use of force holds that its "what was known at the time of the use of force" and not the facts afterwards that a cop will be judged on.

By the way, that picture is pretty funny and entertaining as well.

Just spit my coffee all over the keyboard again. I really need one of those plastic covers. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

It is kinda bogus here in NY! Very little difference between the 12v and 18v anyway. Just have to Charge a few extra 12's before heading out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
