An employee shot a huge male last fall. When I told her about this discussion and imitated what I have heard and thought to be a Lost Mate call ...... she said that a female 'ote was whailing that sound after the first kill. She felt "really bad" for the 'ote and buster her too.
LOL!!!
I told our employee that I would have felt bad if she did not bang flop the second one too!! My sorrow would be for our baby calves.
