Lost River Bullets and ammo

A 160 grain (,284) 7 mm with a BC of .715!!!

WOW!!

When I plug that into their ballisticator program with a 3100fps muzzle velocity,7000ft altitude and a 225 yard zero it works about to be about 6 inches of drop at 350 yards, just shy of 12 inches at 400 and 27 inches of drop at 500.

Pretty phenomenal, course I am sure you have to take some of this with a grain of salt.

The downside? Well a box of 20 bullets is about $35 and loaded ammo is over $60 for a box of 20.....OUCH in either case.

What do you guys think of this? Heres the link

Well I had some of these when it was still called Jensen Bullets. They had high BC's back then but I could never get the bullets to shoot decent enough for it to be a long range load. Would have only been good to 300 yards if you wanted to hit anything on a regular basis. If you get some let us know how they shoot.

I've tried the 30 cal. bullets but couldn't get them to shoot any kind of decent group. I think the problem was that my gun didn't have a fast enough twist to stabalize those bullets.

Dakota Yote is right about the barrel twist. You can not shoot those long bullets from a factory barrel. It takes about a 1 in 8.5" twist to stabilize them.
