Lost three friends in the tornado and a fourth missing.

Pic #6 has my mom and dad's house in it. Doesn't hardly look like it's been hit from that angle. It's the cream colored one close to the street. The white house next to them has already been bulldozed and is burning now. From the right, bottom corner is where my brother and I had to come from to reach my parents. Ariel pictures just don't do justice to how extensive the damages really were. The little white speck in the front of the white house is a ski boat setting in the living room. The white house also sets back about twenty five feet from where it had been originally.

Pic #8 has what's left of the house of the one of the couple's who died. Theirs was the house that has the white van where the garage use to be. It's just a foundation now. The picture isn't large enough to show the area where their bodies were found.

Peace to all.

Thanks for the pictures being posted Chet. I'll see you this morning.

Chet's coming up to help us get mom and dad's stuff out of the house and start tearing her down.
So far it looks like there will be better than thiry people helping. The kindness my parents have been shown by you folks on the board and the people around this community is sobering. I didn't know how many good folks there really are out here. I'm gonna shut up now, cuz I got my fool self crying again. A thiry three year old man shouldn't be such a tit baby, but I guess I am.
Thanks again to everyone and please continue the prayers for those who lost so much.

A sad story. God be with you and your folks and friends.

Hope you are able to recover from your loss in short order. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Just a quick follow up for everyone.

If any of you ever give to charities I would like for you to keep two in mind.
Red Cross
FEMA

Both these organizations really see to people who are in a crisis. It's unbelievable!
Mom and dad are going to get the money to rebuild their house via a small business loan through the government that FEMA helps set up. The loans interest rate will be 2.9%
FEMA is seeing to it that my folks are getting reimbursed for lost wages from not being at work.
Showing them how to be reimbursed for all their lost belongings. Giving them specs on how to make a shelter for a very low cost. Since this makes the second tornado to hit the same spot in 7 years it's definately a concern.
They've been shown how to recieve tax breaks, they've been checked on to make sure the insurance company did what it was suppose to do, had the Dept. of Energy come out and clear up all the trees down on their property. All kinds of little things that has just made life a little easier for them during this time.

I would like to thank all of you once again for thoughts and prayers.
I would also like to extend a special thankyou to my hunting partner and friend, coyotehunter1 (Chet) for all the hard work he did at my folks house.
Take care ya'll.

OH! I almost forgot, they found the one guy who had been missing not too long after I made this post. He had been out of town when his house got smashed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif When I get a chance to go see him, I'm gonna tell him what a jerk he is for scaring the pee outa everyone. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Those tornadoes were devastating to say the least with all the hills we have in East Tennessee we are protected somewhat from them but that isn't always the case. I stood outside a building in Oak Ridge about five years ago, and I watched three small tornadoes on a ridgeline to the east, twist around each for what seemed like an eternity. God Bless the victims and their loved ones.
