lower parts kits??

I have been using White Oak Arms lower parts kits. They sell them without triggers for $40.00 I always use a custom trigger so it allows me to save a few bucks.
 
It's no secret I Like the Spikes LPK, but truth be told almost all parts for Lower Kits are made by the same few company's. The only LPK I ever had trouble with was a Daniel Defense kit that had several out of spec parts. It just goes to show that even the best can have some bad parts from time to time because DD has a reputation of having one of the Best LPKs.

I've used DPMS, Spikes, Rock River and DD and almost anywhere you look you will get a quality LPK.

The last one I put in was a Spikes Enhanced LPK with all the bells and whistles and It was very good, But at 150.00 it had better be. It came with,
-Spike's Billet Trigger guard w/Set screw
-KNS Gen II Mod II Anti-Rotation pins
-Spider Logo'd Ergo grip (Choose from Black, FDE, or OD Green)
-ST Battle trigger with Nickel Boron Coated Mil-Spec Single Stage Trigger, Disconnect, and Rounded hammer
-Ambi Safety Selector
-Mil-Spec bolt catch, mag catch, and mag catch button
-Mil-Spec detents, plungers, pins, and springs
-Quality Spiral roll pins for trigger guard and bolt catch
-1/4 Allen screw with washer for grip

I went online a few days ago to order another and they were out of stock.

ETA I just checked and it looks like Joe Bob Outfitter has them in stock.

For a basic kit the Bushmaster and Rock River kits are good.
 
Best trigger I got from an LPK was DPMS.

Possibly pure luck, but it wasn't that bad, surprisingly. Rest of the parts looked good and function nice and slick.

that said, I'd bet the RRA with the match trigger would be a lot nicer, for not that much more money.

That musta been awile ago,,Evil,,,or i have been really unlucky...3 dpms kits,,,3.. 7-8 pound gritty triggers.


I have only one build with the Rguns kit i suggested,,,the trigger group is precision ground stainless,,for 5 bucks more than the cheapest kits out there.
Kinda a no brainer in my book,,,figuring i could break out the polishing stones if need be,,,but didnt have too.

I put a DPMS LPK in a stripped lower I built my first AR off of years back. It's not the best trigger I've felt in the world. It worked fine, though. No complaints as I knew it had the expected milspec trigger going into it.
 
I just put together a lower using a dpms LPK from midway. 52 bucks, added jp yellow springs for another 10 bucks, and then ran a 1/4-28 set screw up the grip threads to take the creep out. Made a nice trigger I must say.

I go with the rguns kits have 3 of them and think they are the best that can be had for the money even traded out the DPMS for one of the rguns. and yes they are the stainless

Within the last year, actually. It's sounding like I got lucky, though.

By "good" I sure don't mean it feels like my Jewell trigger, it wasn't gritty, though.
7 pounds sounds about right, but I can shoot that okay if it breaks decent.

If I could get a stainless trigger group for that tiny amount extra, I wouldn't even consider the DPMS.
