LRP brass Vs. SRP brass

So, my 22 Creedmoor project hit a speed bump in that I had to return a scope without even mounting it. I have recently been working on my brass. I have been necking down Peterson SRP brass 6 Creedmoor down to 22 Creedmoor without any problems. Then I saw that Alpha Munitions was making 22 Creedmoor brass. I had to wait 2 months before they ran a batch. Long story short, I was finally able to get a box of 22 Creedmoor from them. I got the Alpha brass yesterday. Today I ran it through an expander mandrel and did a slight clean up on the necks to get the proper neck clearance. Then I started to chamfer and deburr the cases. I mistakenly picked up my K & M chamfer tool and was surprised to find out the small rod fit the primer pocket. Then it hit me...The Alpha cases were LRP cases!! In my bliss full ignorance I had failed to notice that. I was so glad to get the brass everything went blank! So,(finally) can I use the same powder loads in both cases, (Peterson/Alpha). No, I'm not looking for max loads. I realize testing would have to be done. Just wondering.
 
In my opinion, SRP only comes into play when pushing max loads. If you're not at/near max after working up, I say you're fine.
 
What I have found with my 30X6.8 (something I dreamed up) the RP brass with large primer pockets show max load quicker. The Hornady brass with small primer pockets stay round on the edges with the same load that flattens large primers. I use mag primers because the regular primers would really show pressure quickly. Of course I had to work up the loads for those mag primers.

I was at Beanland’s two weeks ago, and he said that the Aloha brass had less capacity and was blanking primers well below his customer’s usual load.

So, time to carefully work up your load.
