I am a starter trapper and would like to target both coyotees and lynx here in saskatchewan but where do i start, or how do i start? My current setup consists of a dirthole set along trails using a #2coilspring with rabbit guts in the hole, is this good enough??

You might eventually catch one that way but a good cubby would be a lot better on lynx. Make it about 4 foot long, by 2 foot wide and 2 foot high. Build it where you find lynx tracks using a trail or other travelway. Put a beaver carcass or whole rabbit in the middle, with a trap on each end. Set your traps under the mouth of the cubby where snow won`t put them out of order. For coyotes stick with the dirthole but try a rabbit leg instead of the guts, and get a bottle of good coyote lure. I would also reccomend you read or watch every video you can. There is a ton of knowledge out there to be had than way. Good luck.

Coyote caller I don`t know about Lynx videos but Mirandas Bobcat Video is pretty good, J.C. Connors cat video is full of great info on traps , sets, Location tips and hhow to make your own gland lure. I would think that a lot of this is aplicable to Lynx. There is also some good ideas on coyotes in it also. Good luck this fall.
