Well, I received the .17 Remington carbon upper brought up in the thread about a month ago from Eric Martin of M&C Rifles. Put it on my lower and I am excited to go calling with it. I have to say that I am VERY impressed. Amazing shooter as promised and light enough to feel like a toy. Great attention to detail as well. I went with the side charging flat top upper receiver, tactical latch, carbon free float tube, and carbon tensioned barrel from a Shilen .17 blank. The fit and finish is great and the carbon wrap goes clear down out of view in the free float tube. I put it on a Tactical Innovations T15BDX lower with Geissele trigger and Ace skeleton stock, with Hogue grip, Burris PEPR (It's off center because I had it on finger tight for the pic). Here are a few pics of the finished rifle:

I told you so! LOL!!
I better get my 3rd order in before he gets swamped even more.
Nothing better then a LIGHT weight accurate rifle.
Sharp looking gun.

Better pics than you emailed to me, that is one sweet rifle! Come on down, go to the Rio seafood buffet and then WE can go shooting.

If that longer barrel was all steel, the gun would weigh over 10 lbs for sure.
I have had uppers that where over 7 lbs. LOL!
How do you like the trigger?

WOW Now that is one sweet .17. I like everyone else is as to the cost. If you don't want to post it could you PM me and let me know? Also the cost for just the upper?

Thanks for the info

The cost for the basic upper was $850. I added a few things, like the side charge, carbon free float tube, and tactical latch, so mine came to a little more. Shipping was $25 on top of that. Worth every penny in my book. I took it out today and was hitting ground squirrels and rock chucks out the 300 yard area easy. Hit a pigeon sitting on a rock face at 180 that went POOF like you blew a dandelion. Hardly any recoil and relatively quiet. Very pleasant to shoot and accurate enough to hit small stuff too.

man a cav arms lower would be sweet on that upper. My wife likes it alot. Does your guy have a website to look at? Nice rig
