From A.P. News in relation to Michael Jackson's recent activities while awaiting his verdict:

Also Sunday, the Rev. Jesse Jackson said in an interview that he has arrived in the area to meet with Jackson.

"I talk to him almost every day, and we have prayer," he said. "We are going to be in prayer as we watch and wait." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

What are they praying about? For a quick innocent verdict? For an abbreviated sentence if found guilty? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

OR.........For Jackson to finally grow up and act like an ADULT !! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And, I thought Jesse Jackson was of the Christion faith. Isn't M.J. a proclaimed Buddist ?? Makes you wonder WHO they are praying TO and for WHAT. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

I can send in my $29.95 and the ad from the back of the rolling stones magazine and get the title of reverend. Does that make me any more "reverent" in the literal sense of the word? Mr.(J.)Jackson, and his compatriot Al Sharpton (Who at least can preach, even if he has no church) spend their time preaching a different message to she sheeple that follow them. It is no surprise whatsoever that he would be an MJ supporter. We (Christians) are called to not only talk the talk (or hold the title as the case may be) but to walk the walk. The title of reverend holds one to a higher standard, and SHOULD embody one to lead an exemplary life. No human is perfect, and no preacher is perfect or infallable. However, the message premoted by the aforementioned does not reflect the Christian attitude at large. Christians should pray for MJ, even if it means stifling the overwhelming urge to inflict bodily harm, and the prayer should be one of deliverance from his current life choices. I doubt sincerely that this case will do more than lining the pockets of the defense attorneys, and wasting millions of taxpayer dollars. I further doubt that MJ will be found guilty, or that he will recieve any punishment for this allegation. The case just isn't there for the prosecution. I believe he is guilty, if not for this incident, for others, but he has been victimized by the powers that be and will no doubt receive the pity of the liberal masses. Herein lies the real crime. I digress.------'nuff said.

...as a friend of mine recently stated (and did not seem to be worried about being politically correct)...

"Michael Jackson is white enough now, that they are going to hang him."

Think about it!!!!

From the title of the post, I thought you were talking about our very own M.J. McCasland. Thank god I was mistaken. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

NOPE! Mr. McCasland, from what I can tell from the forums, is an ADULT, is RESPONSIBLE, and RESPECTFUL of other humans.

DEFINITELY not the MJ I was referring to. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
