I don't go for Tactical stuff JMHO.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I built it to be a practical field rifle for the type of hunting I do. So far it has met my needs quite nicely.

It is a Clark carbon fiber tube. The handling characterstics of the rifle make it a favorite.

What carbon fiber handguard is that? I know DPMS makes one and I've seen a couple others...I want one really bad!

i wishes i could see through one of those ACOG'S. 4 POWER ?

Evil, that's just what I did. I got hold of a Lothar barrel that is about 16", all stainless and target crown. So the rifle will not exactly be a M4. Just looks like one...should shoot real good.

Much rather have a lighter contour stainless match barrel with a free-float tube that lets me add a short rail where I need it (like the Yankee Hill) and a good target crown.

How exactly does a target crown add to the accuracy? I'm a noob.

It may not "add" to it, but you take a chance of hurting the accuracy when you thread an already-crowned and stress-relieved barrel. Cutting dowwn and threading relieves stress and the metal may distort. So, adding one MAY decrease accuracy, and it may not, if everything goes well. Then you torgue down the flash hider and put stress right at the muzzle, and again, it may have an effect of accuracy.

So, if I don't need one for night hunting, I avoid it.

That's just my opinion, though. If it was done correctly, you won't likely see much accuracy difference.

Most people refer to any AR with a 16" barrel and a 4-6 position stock an M4. It is really a Car 15. An M4 will have a 14.5" or less barrel and will always be a Govt profile barrel, and a bigger handguard. But what your talking about I believe is a great calling rifle. This one is what I use. It's a DPMS lower with a Double Star 16" Hbar kit, JP springs, and a Nikon 3-9x40.

Where did you get the Doublestar Hbar kit? I don't think it's on their website at all...

here is my 'yote stick based off an M4.

Rock River Lower, Rock River internals with 2 stage trigger, Stag M4 upper, Nikon ProStaff 3x9x40.

Light weight and easy to carry. Very accurate with Hornady 55gr VMax.

Great pictures guys. I finished up the build and it has the government contour barrel on a DelTon upper and lower. DelTon is here in North Carolina and has great stuff and even better service. Used a Lothar Walther barrel 1:8 and will be taking it out this afternoon and running a few through it. Now my mind is starting to wander a bit...204...6.5...6.8...so many choices, so little room in the gun safe.
