M4 Sling Options

I use a Blue Force Gear single point sling. It works great for me. They are pretty over build too. If you don't want to use it as a sling, it could second as a tow strap.

Hunting? I assume you will be hunting with M4 somewhere other than in PA.

That said, I use a padded VTAC sling on my Bushmaster M4 and like it a lot.

I love mine, a couple of my crew hate them. They like the three point. The single point slings are KISS simple. When you detach your rig, it is out of your way. Just my 2 cents. I would get a hold of several different slings and see what you like.

Heres what I went with.

I have a single point for several AR's. I thought I would not like it for hunting for the bouncing off of your knees when hiking. I have found if you tuck it under your arm, hanging straight down from your armpit, they work pretty well. Otherwise I use the "claw".

I use a couple of different two point set ups:

1. The Claw (but backwards relative to your set up Gabe as I now carry muzzle down/front so I can see/point it safely. The buttstock attachment is a simple belt cinch and the handguard mount is a Magpul (simple/tough).

2. A modified Troy sling to carry the same way. The buttstock attachment is the same, but the handguard is a simple loop that has a QD clip on it.

These are both coyote set ups for long hikes. My buddy uses a single point and likes it, though it bounces around.

I'm not sure what sling I am going to use yet. This was a claw that I had laying around. I use the claw on all of my rifles. I do like the way the rifle will lay flat when carried with muzzle up or down. I feel there is many options with the side mounts
