Re: extractor reputation...before custom actions,the 700 & older models were the actions of choice by BR shooters and these folks load stiff & shoot a lot...word i got from BR smiths & shooters was it mite hav been them that got legs under this. If one or two good shooters hav a prob & go the sako extractor path,the rest go that same path...follow'n the lead dog! Plus they are vocal. I read a couple stories & overheard conversations that rem did hav a bad batch of extractors from a supplier (60's)...this supposedly came from Mike Walker of rem. It doesn't take much to create a folklore...good or bad...truth or fallacy.
