Major Foxpro problems?

Some of you guys need to get off the Kool aid!

He has already sent it in 3 times and it still ain't working! Would you keep a car that only started once and then broke but you could send it in again and again and again? How about a rifle that only shot one round and then you would have to send it in????........Didn't think so!

It don't matter how good Foxpro's CS is! It still isn't doing what it is supposed to do! I myself find it kind of funny how there is more and more Foxpro problems popping up everyday but yet some of you guys swear by them? Sorry but if it's one of their $300+ calls I would not have given them a third chance to fix it non the less a fourth chance! In my eyes if I was Foxpro I would stop worrying about fixing it and just replace it!

Just my .02

All I know is in my experience in a couple of years with an FX3, I've called in a bunch of coyotes and I've never had any issues. I've ordered a couple of things (batteries, chargers, and sound files) directly from Foxpro and their CS was excellent. The original poster might have a lemon, or maybe these newer models have some kind of glitch...I don't know. I do know my FX3 works great and I don't think this bad case represents the majority of Foxpro owners and customers. I'm going to grab another glass of Foxpro Kool Aid

Wyoman: I've owned both the Spitfire and now Firestorm. Yes, I initially experienced an annoying issue with the Spitfire. Returned it to Foxpro and problem fixed. No probs with the Firestorm (great product). Stuff happens. I'm a big fan of Foxpro - Because - they make very reliable products AND they stand behind their products. They make things RIGHT if they do go wrong. Can't say that about a lot of product providers. I'm confident your issues will be resolved successfully.

I was all set to order a firestorm as soon as Cabelas had them in stock . But, I'm hearing too many of this type issue. "It broke I sent it back for repair and they sent it back to me broke ".
Any manufacture can have a bad product slip through but to send a "repaired" unit back to the customer with the same issue shows poor quality control , or, the repair dept isn't doing thier job.
Mike, I give you credit for trying to make things right for the OP but it seems the problems are much deeper rooted in the company. Could be a new supplier , new design etc ...
The caller is a tool intended to do a specific job, If I bought a Dewalt drill and had to send it back more than once to get a working unit Dewalt would never see another penny from me no matter how much Customer Service smoke blowing goes on.
So for now I'll hold on to my money.

Mike

I had a Foxpro that I never really liked. No major problems, I just didn't like the remote range and the sound didn't sound good (to me) at high volume. It also had a pretty serious cold allergy. If there was a 50% chance of the temps dropping below zero there was a 90% chance of my Foxpro having problems of some sort. That was more of an advertising issue in my eyes. I wouldn't expect it to work in the cold if they didn't say it would.

The other flaw with it was that for whatever reason, for me, it wouldn't call in coyotes. One coyote in who knows how many stands. Most of those I went back to and killed dogs with hand calls. Just my luck.

I've since bought a Wildlife Technologies MA21 and really like it. The owner comes across as a little arrogant, but the product works as advertised. The only promise it hasn't met is having greater success than hand calls. It does work well, the sound is great, and the remote range is amazing compared to my Foxpro.

For what it's worth, you won't get very far on here blasting Foxpro. They do make a quality product, and their customer service is good. They also cause more fights than cold beer and hot women.

I think Foxpro makes a pretty decent product
Reliability is probably decent also.
If not, they wouldn't sell so many and have so many diehard
followers.

Everyone makes a lemon once in awhile.

However I don't own one. Never have. Just can't justify
the cost to myself.

I used a JS PM3 for years. It finally started sounding off.
Probably just the speaker and easily replaced.
But I bought a different brand all together and am pleased.

Hi Mike, I'm new to this sight but a long time caller. After a week of many hours of reading pros and cons on the top callers, yesterday i bought the Fox Pro Fury. I like many had the hard decision on where i would spend my hard earned money. There are several reasons i went with FP over the WT. #1 being USA made. I'm sure i will know soon if i made the right choice. Continue to take good care of your customers and we will support you !!! Good hunting to all !!!!!

I bought a spitfire and I have used it twice. Called in one on a night hunt. So far so good on the quality. My friend just got a firestorm and he's happier than a kid on Christmas with it!

DMPowder and all the other FoxPro bashers...
You are taking the Original poster Wyoman's word as gospel for what happened. I am not bashing Wyoman either but why do you think Mike wants to look over the repair orders before he opens his mouth. Because everything you read on this site posted by disgruntled people is not EXACTLY how it really is sometimes.
There might be some little things that Wyoman left out. Not saying he is lying about anything but you can't jump on Foxpro if you don't know the facts.
Mike will straighten this out and if Wyoman did have OTHER issues Mike is the kind of guy that won't tell us and make Wyoman look bad, he'll just fix it and go on with business.
I have the Fury and I do drink the kool aid because I know him and his dad and they are straight shooters.

If all the Kool aid drinkers would go back and REREAD the OP? All he asked was......"I think I am done with foxpro.....How many of you are using other brands and how are they holding up? Give me some suggestions of other brands of e-calls that you are using?" And the non Kool aid drinkers answered the question! The only reason I even posted in this thread is because of all the Foxpro lovers!

Now enjoy you Kool aid while your waiting on your "over priced" Foxpro to get sent back too you and I will be out killing coyotes!

There now I bashed them!

Been drinking the kool aid for years. And there are a lot of dead dogs, bobcats, and even a few badgers that are D.R.T. because of it.ONly met Mike once, but he impressed me with his desire to listen to suggestions and give his customers what they need.

I can assure you that I will do everything that I can to keep you a satisfied FOXPRO customer. Something sounds funny about having it back here 3 times. The only way I can get involved and go over the issue with the repair dept is to know the entire story.

I appreciate your assistance, and hope that I can regain your confidence.

The only reason I don't own a Foxpro is the cost. This quote is the reason I will, some day, be a customer. Wow, is all I can say.

Maybe it has something to do with Foxpro selling about a hundred times more calls than the competition....

Just food for thought.

tt35 point well taken! For me that is not the issue.
However, If units must be sent back multiple times for repair that is an issue within the company that needs to be resolved.
The reason I looked at Fox Pro in the first place is that one of the guys I hunt with has an FX3 and it's a great call. He has never had a problem with it.
I would really like to buy a Firestorm, I like the features but ...

Mike

Hey guys, I just got a call from Mike Dillon. He spent about 20 minutes with me talking about my FoxPro. After talking with Mike, I have no doubts that he is going to make sure this situation is taken care of. I appreciated HIS call as he could have easily had one of his guys at the shop call me today as he is at the shot show trying to set up.

Have a buddy with a CS24 and the remote has cleared his sounds twice now. Has owned it less than 6 months.

Have had my WT for 5-6 years and just had my first problem with it a week and half ago.

Both are good callers. Just stating some facts.
