Well, CJ is a fishing fool. It’s all he talks about and wants to do. Said he didn’t care to shoot a turkey so while he’s on Spring Break he’s shooting for a new PB bass. We had to go buy a scale to be accurate and then went fishing. So now his “official” personal best is 3lbs 11oz. He and Zac fished in a little 2 man bass hunter and I had the leaking Jon boat, lol.
I caught a few small bass on the fly rod and then switched to my other fly rod with a little popper. The bream are bedding and I had a blast!!!

It’s all I fish now. Living down here it’s learn as you go. It’s also figure out what you “think” you need and order. Unfortunately there’s not a store around that sells anything fly fishing related. Finally got some bass flies and now experimenting making my own leaders. I did realize I’m halfway decent throwing bream flies which are bigger than the trout flies, it’s those larger bass flies that give me a little issue. But I think learning how to get those presented right has made the smaller flies MUCH easier to cast.

Took off today and we’re about to head out to some different ponds I used to fish when we first moved here almost 30yrs ago. Maybe today CJ will hit his mark. I’m looking for my PB on a fly rod as well. Maybe we’ll both get lucky.
