Marlin 336 Lost Screw

I just noticed today that I lost a screw out of my truck gun this morning. It's a Marlin 336 30-30. The screw missing is the one directly in front of the safety, see pic. I need the gun in a couple weeks and need the screw asap. I looked up the parts list and diagram, but it is way to confusing to pick out what screw is the one I need. Can anyone help me ID the exact name/part number of the screw. Customer services closes way before I get off work, so I couldn't get ahold of them. Thanks for any help.

Send customer service an email with your pic attached (might also include serial #) and I bet you have a replacement in a few days. I have done that with other manufacturers and they have always come through.

+1 Numrich for parts...

But, I'd do as suggested & send that pic to Marlin. They may send you the screw, or may tell you to "take it to an authorized repair business."

I was thinking that it was the carrier screw, but was a little unsure. It is having a problem bringing up a cartridge to the bolt, the the carrier locks the lever in the forward position.

That is na fairly new rifle Marlin will get the screw to you within a couple weeks after you contact them. That has been my experiance with Marlin any way. Or call Brownells or Numerich. Or you may go to a gunsmith in your area since it is a pretty common part, and a pretty common screw a well equipr gunsmith should have it in stock.BTW it is the same for the 336 and the 1894 and 1895. very common part but you will need to get S/S
