Marlin 925M .22 Mag for coyote?

I'm looking for a rifle to use for coyotes in near my home in a semi-rural area. I've got a Remington Model Seven in .223 that I love but it's much too loud for these areas. I don't reload so "Blue Dot loads" are out of the question.

For shots under 100 yards, what do you think of the .22 Magnum?

Any experience with the Marlin 925M? (It's inexpensive and available through WallyWorld.) How do you like the factory trigger? Is it at all adjustable or "workable"?

Thanks!

(Sorry! I had intended top put this in the "Firearms and Reloading" section.)

First, allow me to welcome you to PredatorMasters forum. I think you'll discover this place is great.
Now, the use of 22wmr for coyotes is kinda beat to death here. I happen to know it is capable of the task in mind, but past 50 yards might be a grey area. Having said that you'll find some who object to using rimfire at all on any varmint / predator larger then fox size. I would like to think they're main point is to make a clean kill/shot. I don't know what the noise level of a .17rem is, but would a 22hornet or even 410 be to loud for this area you'll be in?

edited to add: I have the 25mn - slightly older version then the one you looked at, they shoot great. had the million lb. lawyer trigger done on mine, I hear the new ones are decent from the factory.

I have never heard the report from a .22 Hornet and don't know of anyone who has one. Wish I did..... I'd love to give it a try! If it would work, I'd pick up one of the Handi Rifles for just that purpose.

The shots I would be taking would be limited to ranges under 100 yards by the terrain. Most shots would likely be in the 50 yard range. Anytime I would even have the possibility of a longer shot I would use the .223. I feel I owe it to my quarry to make a clean kill.
