I got one of these lever action 22's and have been having trouble with its firing pin lately. Ill go to shoot it and the hammer hits the firing pin and everything like its suppose to but its like its not hiting it hard enough or something. I've took the bullet out after its did this and it has the dent where the firing pin hit the bullet but it didnt shoot? I know its not the bullets cause I've tried it with multiple bullets and multiple brands. After I re-cock the hammer and fire again it usually goes off sometimes I have to re-cock the hammer back a few times before it goes off. Anybody got any ideas what the problem might be?

CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. The number one cause of light strikes is dirt, grime, ect.. Especially in rimfires since they never seem to get cleaned. Fully detail strip and clean the breechblock. If this doesn't solve your problem (I'll bet it will) you probably need to re-spring the gun, or the firing pin is peened and needs to be replaced. Clean first ask questions later.

If you are not comfortable fully detail stripping your gun and re-assembling, most gunsmiths will do it for around $40-50.

+1 what rednek said!!! It is an easy clean. The firing pin slides in a groove in the bolt & if at some point in the past someone decided to be nice & oil the groove it has gummed up, collected dirt, dust, grime & who knows what else!!! Clean both the groove & the firing pin spic & span(squeeky)clean & if you are compelled to lube it(WHY) use powdered graphite.
