Metal Building Kit ????

Gonna be weeks, maybe months of clean-up and prep down the road... But the insurance is going to come up so short on me, that the metal building kit prices are looking attractive. Has anyone actually bought and built one?

Is the steel quality reasonable?
Do the sellers actually help with permitting, and etc?
Are they sensibly designed so they go up like they say they should?

Honest opinion, easier and cheaper? Or flimsy and no advantage over building your own?

It really depends on on the kit. I put a few up around Fargo-Moorhead and all went well. People would buy them and we'd put them up. The biggest was a 100x300 equipment barn. We'd do the slab and put up the building. Get references and see if there are any buildings local you can look at

My granddaughter and her husband just put up 30x40 shop for his auto repair business. It was a wood and metal insulated pole barn. It was done by an Amish company, the bid was well under anyone else. He's happy with it.

Dont know about your area but back East of the big muddy they are thicker than ticks on a dogs back.
Many in my area are living in them for tax purposes—locally know as ‘barndominiums’.
Very nice buildings and go up quick with wood framing. Like all things bought, there are different guages of metal.
If l was in need, that is what l would do.
